Cowboys & Indian

Sebastion went to a Teen Harvest Party with the church. In the meantime, my home became a Colonial war front. They were friends, or so the scoundrels claimed, just for awhile.

Chief Keenanwha and his trusty horse began their war chant.

Back at the saloon.....

Even my HOT Hubba got in on the fakery action. He had his Indian friend scalp a cowboy to get his gun & hat.

Dances with Wolves, anyone?

Love their outfits. Our kids never were interested in getting dressed up, and Harvest parties we're as popular are they are now.

Our conviction was not to participate, so we simply had a family night with lots of goodies and a family movie. A couple of years we did hand out candy with a small testament, then the parties and stores came up with indoor treating and we stopped getting the visitors.

Very cute outfits, and so fitting living in WY.
Blessing for your new week.

Great pictures--looks like great fun. I LOVE your comment quote. I am reminded of St. Theresa's quote, "Christ has no body now but yours, no hands, no feet on earth but yours, yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world..." Oh, stop me!! But it's a wonderful thing to ponder and a weighty responsibility. Thanks--love your blog, I'll be back! C

First visit to your site. My parents used to live in Pinedale. We always enjoyed it when we could stay with them for a week. It is beautiful in Wyoming. Things have changed since they moved away though. Quite a few oil rigs around the Pinedale area now. The pictures of your family look like you are all settling in well. Blessings.

Love it!!!

P.S. You mentioned you miss your CCM station. Have you heard KLove? They're pretty good. :) And you can listen to them online if you can't find them on the radio. http://www.klove.com/
