Year in review..... 2010

(This is a scheduled post)

This has been my "bad" year. Here's a recap of things, for those that don't know, or for those that don't know all of it:

  • My brother passed away (January 25th)
  • In ONE day (in March) My SFIL cut his thumb off in woodworking accident; my cousin was life flighted to an ATL hospital after an accident, with a cracked skull & vertebrae AND Hubba's nephew was hiding in a closet during a home invasion while his roommate was shot & killed.
  • May 23rd while trying to snake our drains, we had a HUGE & NASTY sewage backup into our house..... Come to find out it wasn't just *our* fecal matter washing into our house, it was a clog in the CITY'S pipes & we got EVERYONE'S poo flooding our home from uphill. We lost most of our garden seedlings when this happened as well as some home furnishings & misc. things. We also found out who our true friends are. More importantly, we found out who our true friends are NOT.
  • My Mum was excruciatingly sick.
  • And we've all been sick more than normal this year.

Needless to say, every time I get back on my horse, he bucks me off again. I'm not even sure that's everything ^^ It seems like I'm forgetting something, but this seems to be the year that everyone else needs to think for me, because I'm having a difficult
time thinking for myself. I know we'll get through this, but sometimes it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For now, I cry when no one's looking & I pray, and I hope.....

Oh Kayla...while I knew about some of those things, I did not know all of them. Wow...what a year indeed. Praying for all of you. (((Hugs)))

Oh man ... I knew about some of those things, but not all of them. I've been missing our almost-daily chit chatting on Facebook, dear friend.

You should give me your cell number, if you have one, so I can text you :-P

I'm sending big hugs and lots of prayers your way. You know I love you girl!

Wow, I'm so sorry that you've had such a trying year. I knew about your brother, but some of the other things I didn't know about:( I can't even imagine dealing with some of the things on that list. Big hugs to you and I'll be keeping you in my prayers!

P.S. I lived in an apartment in Albuquerque that had a sewage backup. It's a terribly miserable thing, and it really does make you feel violated. I couldn't step foot in the bathtub without wearing flip flops, just knowing that it had been contaminated with the neighborhood sewage. Nevermind that it had been cleaned liberally with bleach and a whole manner of other disinfectants, I still needed those flip flops.

{{{{{HUGS}}}}} you have had an aweful lot on your plate, and the stress I'm sure has compromised your immune function somewhat. Just think if you and your family didn't eat as well as you do how ill you'd have been( looking on the positive side*wink*)

You and your family have been in our daily prayers since your brother passed away. When I know people are praying for me it is of comfort. :o)

We'll look forward to your weekly blogs and we can totally relate.

BTW! Precious pictures of your boys, what a blessing to spend so much quality time together, before you know it they'll be grown and gone, at least that is what seemed to happen here*wink*
Blessings,
Kelle
