
The boys took turns kneading the pre-made royal icing:



While they were working their phalanges, I got the pieces out, organised & ready for putting together:


Mmmmmm...... Smell the gingerbread. Mmmmmm.....

We we supposed to wait 15 minutes before doing the candies above ^^. I was impatient, though. Then it started getting too heavy & pieces started sliding, so I figured it was a good time to wait that 15 minutes.

In my day (listen to me, I sound like an old woman, here) we didn't have kits ! *sob* I never had a single gingerbread house turn out in almost 15 years. Not one. We used to pretend that the big bad wolf blew them down and that's why they looked like kindling. :o(
