It's time for a change....

I'm post dating this, so scroll down for newest posts!!

We'll be moving soon (soon, I hope). Life will no longer be in Small Town Wyoming. So now I've got a decision to make. I plan on renaming the blog..... but I'm not sure what. I'm asking your help. Here is what I've come up with so far:

> Ms. Wicked With... (Spray Paint, a Pan & a Garden Spade) - I think this encompasses a lot of what I do- gardening, crafting, thrifting, cooking.

> Martha Stewart Who? - Sebastion said that to me yesterday morning. "Martha Stewart who? I just want to know why YOU'RE not famous, Mom???"

>
Growing Kids, Food & Ideas - See description for Ms. Wicked With ^^

>
Primitive Momma, Vintage Wife - Don't know.... Just came to me.

>
Hippie Yuppie Earth Freak - Actually this is what I've been dubbed (though it's more like Hippieyuppieearthfreak), because I'm a creamy crunchy Momma. Not sure if I'm serious about this one, though, LOL

Any thoughts? I've made a poll to your left (<< That way :D ). PLEASE VOTE!!

From the comments

Danielle asked:

What's up with the fermenting ketchup? recipe? and the why behind it, please?

Fermenting ketchup is just another sneaky way to get probiotics into the kids. Almost any fermented food is a health benefit, and since my kids love ketchup, I figured why not? The recipe is linked in the original post I mentioned it in. Just click on "fermented ketchup" where you'll be taken to Kelly's blog (great blog, by the way!).

I hope this answers your questions. Thanks for stopping by!!

Hopefully she won't smack me for this.....

But it made me chuckle (sniffing her sourdough) & it's valuable info..... She didn't say DON'T publish it, she just said I didn't HAVE TO. And since her sourdough ROCKS, I feel I SHOULD post it.....

Millie left a comment on my menu post about my sourdough.

I should have let you sniff my sourdough when you were here (how weird does that sound?). Mine doesn't really smell sour. It smells like a microbrew (beer)! I think that fruity and bubbly sounds about right. With the weather colder now my bread is slower to rise so I try to help it along by running the crock pot next to it. That seems to help.

Funny thing is, I'm planning on making steel cut oats in the crockpot tonight, so this is
perfect timing! I'm happy to report that it IS slowly riring since I put it out for its first rise this afternoon- YAY!

I've rec'd an award <3

[friends_and_favorite's_award,sm..jpg]

Kelle has been so kind as to gift me with my first award on this blog. BUT, I have to say it's not me that can carry on like this. I do this through & for the love of God. Yup, lots of praying comes out of this mouth & head to get accomplished what I do, so I feel it best to offer up this award to a higher power that keeps me going when I'm tired, sick & ache all over. <3

Now in all fairness, part of accepting this is to pass it along to others (8 to be exact, wow, just 8? LOL), and that will prove to be difficult. I think I'll start out with those inspiring folks that I've actually met IRL, plan on meeting IRL & that I have a phone or heavy email relationship with..... *sigh* Here are the rules:

These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends.

They are not interested in self-aggrandizement.

Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut,

even more friendships are propogated.

Please give more attention to these writers!

OK, here goes. My 8 inspiring bloggafrenz:

Millie
JLB
Taters Mama
Linda
Michelle
Arrow
"Jane"

Google friend connect- a pain in my tush!

I have some blogs I enjoy reading. A lot.... But for some reason, I cannot comment on blogs that have the friend connect thingie to leave comments. *sigh*

Bedtick Farm is one such blog I adore.

My soon-to-be almost neighbor at Thinking Outloud (I can't wait til you get here, Millie!!!).

I know there's a couple others, but these 2 came to mind right off the bat.

So can anyone help me? Why can I not comment on friend connect blogs? *sniff* I don't want these folks thinking I'm ignoring them or being snooty. I have Vista (ew, yuck, I know. I can't believe I just admitted that!). The computer was just bought in October-ish & it's a smashing Acer with a slim tower (sorry had to brag for a mo, LOL. I LOVE the tiny tower!). I don't know what else to give you to help me, but please HEP ME!!! *grin*

Following this blog

Kelle said...

Michaela,
Just found your blog and I'd like to follow it but can't find the link.....

Hmmm, it's in the left hand sidebar, 2nd category down. I'm not sure if this is what you're referring to, but it's the only link I'm aware of that allows you to follow. I appreciate you stopping by & am honoured that you'd like to follow the blog. I'll check my font colours to be sure that the "un-clicked" links are different colours than the background.

Blessings, Kelle!

I'm alive

Busier than a pack o' flies on dog poo. Mmmm, bet you're hungry now, huh? LOL... I've started an evening job on top of everything else, so I've been exhausted! Plus I lost the batteries to my camera & we all know what a camera happy hog I am. I don't like posts with no pics. I'll be back as soon as I can. THNX, Tatersmama for your message! ((HUGGLES))

Isn't it a great feeling, knowing that you have all that food put away for the year?
But tell us about the meatloaf muffins - or are they just mini meatloaves?

I LOVE canning, growing, preserving, shopping bargains to provide for my family. It IS a wonderful feeling!! The most glorious feeling, though, is knowing that it is ALL for the Glory of GOD!!!

The meatloaf muffins are mini meatloaves. Make your fave meatloaf mix & scoop into muffin tins, bake about 1/2 the time you would a normal sized loaf (about 30 minutes).

And don't be envious. I'm a procrastinating schmuck, LOLOL!!!!
