My babies are getting so big!

Last week I had to isolate one of the chickies, as he had peck wounds on his neck (poor little guy, and yes, I'm pretty sure he's a roo). It figures all the ones I have to take the most hand care of, are looking to be roos *sigh* Anyhoo, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get pics of all the chickies, since I had the camera out & going.

The one to the right (gray with black head) looks like he's going to end up being a roo, as well):

No, not a hint, LOL. You couldn't see the pics of her (Rocki) on the carpet. We're almost positive this one's a girl. The folks at BYC agree based on my post of pictures:

Will you play with me? (Bwahameowhaha)

Kitty please with cherries on top?

The aforementioned roo:

Whatta you lookin' at?!?!?

The wounded boy. Ain't he something perty?

Pt 1- The garden series, LOL

First off, let me say, I am SOOO over this uber-short growing season, LOL. This time last year I was already harvesting tomatoes & cukes & such.

Anyhoo, we have peas, a small green tomato, grapes seem to be fairing well & we have some green strawberries. Well, here are the pics, I'll caption them so you know. This will be a series so as not to overload the dial-uppers.

The large plot- maters, squash & melons, corn & beans (don't mind the weed patch!):

I visited a friend!

This was actually a couple of weeks ago, but I'm so far behind on posts here, that I'm just now getting some of my older posts up. I met Millie the first time 6 weeks, maybe a month ago when they came over for dinner. She's like minded in that she prepares for uncertain times, she's enjoys the basic life & she eats traditional foods. Oh & she now lives in WY too!!! *grin*

Anyhoo, while we were in Casper we stopped by for a few & I got some pics this time. I completely forgot to the first time I met her!

Their first outdoor foray!

We took the chicks outside for their first time when they were 13 days old. They loved it. They pecked & scratched & we had so much fun watching them (And catching them as they tried to jump out of the wooden enclosure, LOL)...

Look, can you find the handsome Hubba grilling?^^
