I cheated....

I bought a pre-made Gingerbread House kit. Yup, me. I know, I'm a slacker.

The boys took turns kneading the pre-made royal icing:

While they were working their phalanges, I got the pieces out, organised & ready for putting together:

Mmmmmm...... Smell the gingerbread. Mmmmmm.....

Each of them decorating their "piece" (kit came with a tree, snowman & gingerbread boy):

In progress:

We we supposed to wait 15 minutes before doing the candies above ^^. I was impatient, though. Then it started getting too heavy & pieces started sliding, so I figured it was a good time to wait that 15 minutes.

We ate (it's crockpot Sunday!):

We had brotherly love:

We made crazy faces:

Then the dog started looking at us as though we'd lost our darn fool minds. Oh wait.....

Then it was back to work to build our house:

  1. How gorgeous !
In my day (listen to me, I sound like an old woman, here) we didn't have kits ! *sob* I never had a single gingerbread house turn out in almost 15 years. Not one. We used to pretend that the big bad wolf blew them down and that's why they looked like kindling. :o(
My children must hate me now.

"....But if we are the Body
Why aren't His arms reaching
Why aren't His hands healing
Why aren't His words teaching
And if we are the Body
Why aren't His feet going
Why is His love not showing them there is a way

Jesus paid much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the Body of Christ...."
