I am such an awful mom!

Tris came down the sidewalk crying (we were all out shoveling) & he said he laid the shovel down & then stepped on it & the handle came up & whacked him in the face. And all I could do was belly laugh...

A nice big puffy black & blue lip & a scrape across his cheek. :(

I think I redeemed myself though. An ice pack & a cuppa hot cocoa.

  2. He's really such a good sport. I kept messing with him, took pics & told him I was going to blog about it. I called him beaver & started making beaver faces at him. You could tell he wanted to laugh, but wouldn't until I started doing the beaver faces.

  3. LOL! You? An awful mom? Yeah... c'mon, pull the other leg!

I think we've all "been there, done that" with the 'getting the giggles' at our kids, at the wrong time... but I agree with the cuppa and ice pack cure.
Which makes you a GOOD mom.
As does making Bucky Beaver faces... even if it hurts him to smile! ;)

  4. Poor guy! But I don't blame you for laughing. I would have (and have done) the same. I've even had my children say to me before, "Stop laughing! It's not funny!" I hope your precious son feels better soon. :)

"....But if we are the Body
Why aren't His arms reaching
Why aren't His hands healing
Why aren't His words teaching
And if we are the Body
Why aren't His feet going
Why is His love not showing them there is a way

Jesus paid much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the Body of Christ...."
